Skiatook High School, which is showered with local and national awards every year, provides quality education for over 700 students in and around Skiatook. Offering a multitude of Advanced Placement and Honors courses, this school also caters to handicapped in any of the following categories: autism, deaf-blindness, deafness or hearing impairment, developmental delays, emotional disturbance, mental retardation, multiple disabilities, orthopedic impairments, other health impairments, specific learning disability, speech or language impairment, traumatic brain injury, and visual impairment. This year, the school was recognized with excellence in the arts, national accreditation for the teachers, and nationally ranked academics. A newsletter is posted bi-monthly to allow parents the opportunity to stay active in their children’s education.
